DR FRIDAY EFFIONG AKPAN

 BSc Accounts, MBA, MSc (Accts), PhD (Accts), FCNA, FCTI, ACIS, FCTM

 Dr. Friday Effiong Akpan FCNA, FCTI, FCCrFA, FCTM, an Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance, was born in Akwa-Ibom State, South-South Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, a Master of Science Degree, and a Doctorate Degree in Accounting and Finance.

He is currently serving as the 9^th Director-General of the Nigerian College of Accountancy, A Post-Graduate Professional Accountancy Institution and the Training Arm of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), having served in several capacities, including the Director, Centre for Financial and Accounting Research (CEFAR) and the Head, Academic Planning Department of the College, amongst others, between 2008 to date.

Dr Akpan is the Lead Consultant, FEA and Associates, and the Principal Partner, Friday Effiong Akpan & Co (Certified National Accountants and Tax Consultants). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management of Nigeria. He is a Practicing Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, a Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, as well as the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. He has attended and delivered papers at several seminars and workshops across the country and beyond. He is married with four lovely children. He enjoys reading, researching, and listening to good music.
